What makes Wishbone Pet Care different from other pet care facilities in Missouri City?

We have been serving the Missouri City community since 2011, and we take a deeply personal approach to every pet in our care. Every new grooming client starts with a one-on-one wellness consultation. We have a Vet Assistant on site during boarding. We keep our facility intentionally small so every pet receives individual attention. We are not here to just check you in and check you out. We are here to be your long-term pet care partner.

Do you offer memberships, rewards, or a referral program?

Yes to all three! Our membership plans start at $40 per month and include grooming services, discounts, priority booking, monthly gift bags, and exclusive perks. We also have a loyalty rewards program where you earn 1 point for every $1 spent automatically. And when you refer a friend, both of you receive a reward. Visit our membership and deals pages for full details.

    Dog Grooming

How much does grooming cost, and how long does it take?

Our Paw Treatment and Nail Trim starts at $25. Bath, Mini Groom, and Ultimate Grooming packages vary by breed and size. Most appointments take between 2 to 4 hours, depending on your pet's coat and the service selected. Contact us or visit our grooming page for more details.

Do I need an appointment, and what vaccinations are required for grooming?

Appointments are recommended and can be booked online or by phone. For grooming, we require proof of current Rabies, DHPAA, and Bordetella vaccinations uploaded to your pet parent portal before your appointment or you can bring them in at the time of your appointment. Walk-in welcome.

What is a grooming wellness plan?

Every new grooming client starts with a personal one-on-one consultation where we learn about your pet's coat, grooming history, and your goals. We then help you with a plan tailored specifically to your pet. For example, if you want to keep your dog's coat long and fluffy, we will map out a maintenance schedule to prevent matting, so shaving never becomes necessary.

Do you groom cats and offer deshedding treatments?

Yes to both! We offer specialized cat grooming, including bath, nail trim, brush-out, and sanitary trim. We also offer deshedding treatments for dogs, especially helpful for double-coated breeds during shedding season.

    Boarding

How much does boarding cost, and what is included?

Boarding rates start at $27 per night for our Small Crate and go up to $67 per night for our Presidential Room with live webcam access. All stays are all-inclusive with no hidden fees. Every boarding stay includes comfortable bedding, daily housekeeping, group playtime, mealtime service, potty breaks, calming music, a night light, and a personal goodnight from our staff.

What vaccinations and documents does my pet need for boarding?

For boarding, we require proof of current Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations. All vaccine records must be uploaded to your pet parent portal before check-in.

What should I bring for my pet's boarding stay?

Please bring your pet's food portioned and prepackaged in labeled Ziploc bags for each meal, any medication they require, and a favorite toy if they have one. No need to bring bedding as we provide comfortable bedding for every guest.

Can two dogs from the same family share a suite, and do you send updates during their stay?

Yes! Our Medium Crate accommodates two small dogs up to 12 lbs each. Just let us know when booking. We also send regular photo updates and report cards to your pet parent portal throughout their stay. Our Presidential Room suites include live webcam access so you can check in anytime.

What is your cancellation policy for boarding and grooming?

For grooming and daycare, please cancel at least 2 hours before your scheduled appointment. For boarding, we ask for at least 5 business days' notice before check-in to receive your $40 deposit as credit. Cancellations after that window will result in a non-transferable deposit.

    Daycare

How does daycare work, and is it safe for small dogs?

Our daycare includes group play, socialization, enrichment activities, and exercise in our safe, climate-controlled indoor and outdoor play areas. We group dogs by size, so smaller dogs always play with dogs their own size, keeping playtime safe and comfortable for everyone. Your dog goes home happy and tired every time.

How do I sign my dog up for daycare for the first time?

New daycare clients start with an in-person meet and greet so we can get to know your dog and make sure daycare is a great fit. Contact us at (281) 208-3708 to schedule your dog's first visit, and we will walk you through everything.

    Pet Dental

Is anesthesia-free dental cleaning safe, and how often should my pet get one?

Yes, it is completely safe. Our dental hygienists gently and comfortably position your pet while cleaning plaque buildup, clearing bacteria under the gum line, and finishing with a full polish and rinse. No anesthesia, no stress, and done in about an hour with no recovery time needed. We recommend a cleaning every 6 months for dogs and cats. Dental cleaning starts at $310.

    Safety and Care

Do you have veterinary staff on site?

Yes. We have a Vet Assistant on site at Wishbone Pet Care. While we are not a veterinary clinic and cannot handle major medical emergencies, any concern is addressed quickly, and we will immediately contact you and your pet's veterinarian if an emergency arises. This is why we ask every client to provide a reliable emergency contact when registering.

Are there any restrictions on which pets you accept?

We welcome all cats and dogs regardless of breed or special needs. For the safety of all our guests, we cannot accommodate unneutered males, pets in heat or coming into heat, pregnant pets, pets with open wounds or stitches, or pets with contagious diseases.

Does my pet need to be evaluated before boarding or daycare, and can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Yes. All new boarding and daycare clients must complete an in-person meet and greet interview first so we can get to know your pet and make sure we are a great fit. We also fully accommodate pets with special dietary needs. Just let us know your pet's requirements when you book, and we will make sure every meal is prepared exactly as needed.

How do you select the products you carry in your store?

We only carry brands and products we genuinely believe in. Every product is chosen with your pet's health and wellness in mind, focusing on natural ingredients, nutritional value, and overall well-being. If we would not give it to our own pets, we would not put it on our shelves.
