Our dog trainer is not only experienced but also deeply passionate about assisting pets and their owners in creating a stronger bond through effective training methods. We recommend bringing your pet's food, any special treats they love, their favorite toy, and any medication they require. There's no need to bring a bed or blanket, as our housekeeping team will provide each boarding space with a comfortable bed/blanket. Please bring enough food for the duration of your pet's stay, with each meal's portion prepackaged in Ziploc bags labeled with your pet's name. Canned food and meal toppers are also welcome in their original container but must be clearly labeled with your pet's name.
For boarding and doggy daycare, your pet must pass an in-person (or as we like to say, an "in-dog") interview. This allows us to get to know your pet and ensure that we are a good fit for each other. It's important for us to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, and this initial meeting helps us to assess compatibility and address any special needs your pet may have.
We welcome all cats and dogs, regardless of breed or special needs. However, for the safety of all other guests, we cannot accommodate unneutered males, pets in heat or those that may be coming into heat, pregnant pets, pets with open wounds, stitches, or contagious diseases.
We understand that plans can change. For grooming or daycare services, we kindly ask that you call us or cancel through the portal at least 2 hours before your scheduled time. This allows us to reach out to other customers on the waitlist. For boarding services, please let us know 5 business days prior to your check-in date so we can credit your $40 deposit back to your account. Unfortunately, if the cancellation occurs after the 5 business day window, your deposit will be non-transferable.
We have a skilled vet techs on-site at Wishbone Pet Care. While our facility is well-equipped to manage routine care and address minor medical needs, we are not equipped to handle major medical emergencies. In case of an emergency, our initial step is to contact you directly to keep you informed. This is why we request that you provide us with an emergency contact—whether it's you or a family member—especially if you might be unreachable. Should the need arise, we will promptly contact your pet's veterinarian or seek immediate assistance from the nearest available veterinary service. Rest assured, your pet's well-being is our utmost priority.
